When you press Export on your invoice list, handipay offers a tile for each accounting software it makes a file for, and one for a plain spreadsheet. Find yours below, pick that tile, then follow its guide to bring the file in.
The handipay side is the same for all of them: see exporting your invoices.
Find your accounting software
| If you use | Pick this tile, then read |
|---|---|
| Sage Accounting | Sage Accounting: importing into Sage Accounting |
| Sage 50 (Canadian edition) | Sage 50: importing into Sage 50 |
| Any other accounting software | Spreadsheet: any other accounting software |
| A bookkeeper, or not sure | Spreadsheet: not sure what your bookkeeper uses? |
Whichever you pick, the import goes best when each customer in handipay carries the name or code your accounting software knows them by. See matching your customers to your accounting software, or import your customer list to fill them in all at once.
Any other accounting software
handipay has tiles for Sage Accounting and Sage 50 only. For any other accounting software, pick Spreadsheet: it makes a CSV file, a plain spreadsheet file that Excel or Google Sheets opens, and you choose its columns and their order, so you can lay it out the way your software's import asks for. See exporting to a spreadsheet.
Not sure what your bookkeeper uses?
Ask them two things: which accounting software they use, and whether it's online or installed on a computer. That second answer is what tells Sage Accounting and Sage 50 apart.
If they only want the numbers, a Spreadsheet file is a safe start. They can tell you which columns they want, in which order, and you can save that setup so every export starts with it: see saving your settings.
Exporting never changes your invoices, so trying a tile costs nothing. Export a small batch first, such as one week, and let your bookkeeper check it.
