What does handipay charge?

What does Stripe charge on top?
Stripe processes the payment and takes its own fee on top. A card costs about 2.9% plus 30 cents, with no ceiling. Canadian bank debit costs 1% plus 40 cents and never more than $5, whatever the invoice is worth. Cash and Interac e-Transfer jobs you mark paid by hand cost nothing at all, and neither do quotes, jobs, crew, customer records, PDFs or the CSV export.

What does bank debit cost?

Who pays the fees, me or my customer?
You decide who carries the fees, per business or per invoice: add them to the customer's total, or absorb them yourself. A preview shows the difference before you send.
Is Quebec different?
Quebec is the one exception. The province does not allow charging a customer extra for paying by card, so on a Quebec invoice the fees always come out of your payout.
Are there fees on quotes or jobs?
No, handipay's fee applies only when an invoice gets paid. Quotes, jobs, and everything else are free to use.
Do team members cost extra?
No, invite your whole crew: roles and permissions are included at no extra cost.
Is there a free trial?
There is no subscription to trial. You pay only when an invoice gets paid, and nothing before that.
Does marking an invoice paid by cash or Interac e-Transfer cost anything?
No. handipay's fee only applies to invoices paid through the handipay pay page. Cash and Interac e-Transfer jobs are free to record, and they still get a real receipt.
How does this compare with a monthly subscription?
Job software for the trades is usually a monthly subscription, often charged again for every person you add. You pay it in a slow month too. handipay does not work that way. There is no monthly bill and no charge per person, so a quiet month costs you nothing and a busy one costs 1% of what you actually collected.
What would a month cost a small shop?
A four person shop that collects $8,000 across a month of ordinary jobs pays handipay $80, and pays nothing for the other three people. One $8,000 job instead costs $65, because the rate drops past $5,000. A month with no invoices paid costs $0.
